The Red-eyed Wattle (Acacia cyclops) is a hardy, salt-tolerant evergreen shrub or small tree native to the coastal regions of Western and South Australia. It is best known for its unique seeds, which are glossy black and almost entirely encircled by a bright orange-to-red fleshy stalk (aril), giving them the appearance of bloodshot eyes.
Typically grows 1–4 metres tall, though it can reach up to 8 metres in sheltered areas. It often forms a dense, rounded "dome" shape, especially when exposed to coastal winds.
