A Western Australian Native commonly known as the 'Burgundy' Weeping Peppermint. Often confused with Afterdark, this particular variety produces spectacularly lush foliage, with new growth shaded a deep burgundy and reflecting a crimson colour when the light shines through the foliage. As the leaves age they change to dark green leaving the colourful highlights at the tip of the plant. When crushed, the pendulous leaves produce a subtle aroma. During late spring it houses clusters of petite white flowers that peek through the dark foliage. Agonis flexuosa 'Burgundy' can be used for screening, as a feature tree. This plant will provide stunning contrast especially when positioned amongst plants with grey foliage. Being native, Agonis flexuosa 'Burgundy' is well suited to the ever changing Australian climate.
