Multi branched as are the other varieties, this is a little more upright in form. Deep pink flower clusters appear on the bare stems and branches followed by heart shaped dark green leaves. After flowering attractive purple seed pods appear that add an additional decorative feature into summer. The foliage is also excellent for floral and foliage displays as well as an ideal specimen tree in those smaller gardens.
